The West Pacific Institute of Therapeutic Studies provides training in Massage and other related therapies.

At West Pacific, I believe one of our greatest contributions is the ability to soothe and nurture through human touch.

West Pacific offers ONLY PRIVATE TRAINING, one on one. Other classes of 2 - 3 students are also available. Flexible scheduling of sessions is available and students can start at any time. Morning, afternoon, evening, or Saturday scheduling is possible and students can set and proceed at their own pace.

CURRICULUM

Massage Technician
100 Hours
In this basic course, students are taught Swedish Massage. Other areas covered are basic anatomy, Massage history, benefits and contraindications of Massage, body mechanics, and professional draping.

Massage Technician; Advanced
100 Hours
Students are taught techniques to enhance their basic Massage sequence and are exposed to different modalities.

Massage Technician; Deep Tissue
100 Hours
This course will teach students techniques involved with therapeutic Massage of tissue that has been strained or stressed.

Massage Technician; Sports
200 Hours
In this course, students learn a full-body Massage using advanced techniques. Sports Massage therapy principles are presented along with training in post event massage.

Massage Therapist Certificate
Completion of a total of 500 hours.
The Massage Technician and Massage Technician Advanced Courses are prerequisites to the other courses.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Employment opportunities for Massage Therapists include stress management, geriatric care, athletic clubs, health facilities, full-service salons, cruise ships, hotels, resorts, as well as private practice. Placement assistance is available to all graduates. However, the school can make no guarantee employment.

TUITION

There is no registration fee.

Tuition for each 100 hour segment is $750
